If your home floods you may need to know how to clean basement water damage.  The first thing you need to do is get the water out as soon as possible.  If there is a lot of water, you will want to rent a pump to get the water out quickly.  You may even want to hire a company that will pump the water out for you.  If there is not a lot of water left standing, you can use a shop vac or wet/dry vacuum cleaner to suck up the excess water.
